Genesis Prep Staff

A native of New Port Richey, Dr. Melissa Nurrenbrock has spent her career in education, teaching at every level from preschool to college and earning a Doctorate of Education. Before coming to Genesis School, she combined her love of education and travel by holding teaching and administrative positions in Costa Rica, Alaska, and Hawaii. Dr. Melissa Nurrenbrock has been the head of Genesis Schools since 1981. She has served as President of The Florida Kindergarten Council and on the Board of Directors of The Florida Council of Independent Schools, Florida’s premier accrediting association.

Ms. Fevriette, a native of the beautiful Caribbean Island of St Lucia, has 30 years of teaching experience, teaching Science, Math, Computer Science and Information Technology to grades 6 -12 in St Lucia, USVI and Florida in both public and private schools. She also has three (3) years of experience as a High School Assistant Principal at the Corinth Secondary School in St Lucia.
She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados, a Master of Science Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Waterloo, Canada and a Diploma in Education in the teaching of Mathematics and Information Technology from the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, St Lucia. She presently teaches Anatomy, Math 6, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II at Genesis Preparatory School.
Her teaching philosophy is founded on her love of Math and Science and her belief that every child can learn but each child learns differently. This therefore means as a teacher she creates a learning environment for her students that caters to their individual ways of learning and where students are motivated to learn.

Mr. Johnson took improvisational classes at an early age and was performing improv and stand-up comedy at the age of 17. Tim performed for 7 years on stage in various venues and states. Tim studied Communications and History in College and graduated with his B.S. in General Studies from Clearwater Christian College. Tim also was a member, vice chairperson, and chairperson of the Oldsmar Code Enforcement Board for over 5 years. While on the board, Tim oversaw the interpretation of city laws and how they applied to specific city residential and commercial cases. Mr. Johnson has an avid love for sports, especially basketball and golf. “Coach” Johnson has won 5 Conference Tournament Championships in Varsity Girls Basketball and 1 Conference Tournament Championship in Varsity Boys Golf. Tim joined the Genesis faculty in 2008.

Brent Lamkin is a native Floridian, born in Orlando. He graduated from the University of Florida, where he majored in Music Education and was part of the Pride of the Sunshine, the Gator Marching Band, as well as Concert Band, Big Band, Percussion Collective, and vocal soloist at Santa Fe College. He has been teaching since 2012 and at Genesis since 2017. He currently leads vocal groups with his local church and plays keyboard, ukulele, guitar, bass and vocals with the Going Nowhere Band.

Sra Moser is originally from Colombia, South America. She graduated with a B.A. in languages from the Pontifical Bolivariana University in Medellin, the city where she is from. She also has a minor in translation in French, Spanish and English. She belongs to a couple of associations: AATSP (American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese) and ACTL (American Council of Teaching Languages). She has participated in several seminars and courses dealing with education and teaching of a foreign language. Before moving to the U.S.A., Sra Moser was an English Teacher at Marymount School in her hometown, and also worked as a professor at the University she graduated from. She loves teaching, but also loves to spend time with family and friends. She has been at Genesis for the past 20 years, working at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Sra Moser considers the Genesis Schools her second home!

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Susan Huskey Woas is an award-winning watercolor artist who also works in other media including drawing, clay, and mixed media. Woas earned her BFA at Bowling Green State University with a major in Painting, with a minor in Art History. She is a Signature Member of Florida Watercolor Society and a member of the Florida Art Educators Association. Former artist-in-residence for the City of Largo, Susan was also gallery director for Scarborough Faire Art Gallery in Largo, FL. Susan has been on the painting faculty at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center since 1976, and has been the head of the art department at Genesis Preparatory School, New Port Richey for 25 years.

Mrs. Swartz is a native of Epping, New Hampshire. She moved to Florida and has lived in the Tampa Bay area since she was 15 years old.
She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of South Florida. Following graduation, she worked as a Billing Representative for Xerox Capital Services.
Mrs. Swartz has been with Genesis Schools as our Bookkeeper since 2014. For four years, she worked at our West Preschool Campus. She joined the Genesis Preparatory School staff in 2019 as the Administrative Assistant. She continues to serve both the GPS and Genesis Schools!
Board of Trustees
The purpose of the Board of Trustees is to create a college preparatory school for middle and upper division students in Pasco County. The Board of Trustees agreed to assume the following responsibilities of an independent school governing body:
- To organize and manage itself so as to fulfill its duties to the school
- To plan, develop, and establish policy and assess the performance of the school
- To be responsible for the school’s financial condition and physical plant
- To select the Head of School and work cooperatively with that person
